The official rules for direct 1 vs 1 battles and FyeBeats tournaments. Entering, accepting, submitting to, or voting in a Battle means you agree to follow these rules.
THE CORE RULE
Every rule below exists to keep Battle results meaningful for Producers and voters.
Your first eligible direct 1v1 is your single Practice Round, including existing producers who have never battled. Both producers explicitly opt into practice matchmaking with one eligible beat each. It is unranked: no official win/loss changes and no ranked-win XP. A valid completed round unlocks the existing Battle Tested achievement once. Your next 1v1 can be ranked.
The same ownership, no-AI, account eligibility, moderation and qualified voting rules apply: listen to both beats for 30 seconds, at least three valid votes, and a one-minute playback cap. No opponent is guaranteed immediately. You can leave a pending queue. A canceled Practice Round can be retried after 24 hours; completed rounds cannot be repeated for awards.
The scheduled 16-Producer Tournament is a different competition. Preparing one beat does not enter the tournament or reserve a slot. Its existing five-beat entry, fifth-beat tiebreaker, rounds, voting and verification rules are unchanged.
Open producer battle setupEntry to the opening 16-producer field is free. Applications are reviewed; applying does not guarantee a slot. Selected producers receive First Access and tournament instructions.

All participating producers in the FyeBeats 16-Producer Tournament must vote in every other eligible matchup during their current round. Producers cannot vote in their own battles. Listen to both competing beats for at least 30 seconds each. Your single official vote is locked after submission.
Requirements follow the actual bracket: a full Round of 16 normally requires 7 votes per producer, quarterfinals 3, semifinals 1, and the Championship 0. Cancelled, voided or administratively removed matchups do not count. Eliminated producers receive no new mandatory obligations in later rounds, but may vote voluntarily where eligible.
Required votes must be completed or resolved through documented staff exceptions before progression. Voting completion does not guarantee a tournament win; you must also win your own matchup. The entire round waits for finalized results, participation and staff reviews.
Staff sends reminders, reviews missing votes after the participation deadline, and may approve documented technical exceptions or a participation grace period. Grace never changes a Battle’s scheduled voting deadline. Disqualification requires documented warnings, an expired approved grace period and staff review under this policy. Missing required votes never automatically awards an opponent a win.
Reviewed penalties and administrative bracket decisions are audited. Exceptions do not fabricate votes or earn voting-completion XP. Only valid completed voting obligations qualify for the configured once-per-round bonus. Fraudulent vote or completion rewards may be reversed through the XP ledger.
Every FyeBeats Beat Battle must receive at least three valid votes before it can officially close and declare a winner. This applies to regular 1v1 battles and every tournament matchup.
Reaching three votes early does not close a Battle. If the scheduled voting period ends with fewer than three valid votes, voting remains open: “Voting Extended — Waiting for Minimum Votes.” Existing votes are preserved, beats remain locked, and no arbitrary new deadline is created. The third valid vote closes an overdue untied Battle automatically.
If a valid result is tied, the existing two six-hour Sudden Death stages and documented staff determination remain. No random winner is selected. Tournament progression waits until all required results and participation reviews are finalized.
Invalidated or deleted votes cannot satisfy the minimum. If a closed Battle later loses a valid vote, its recorded result stays closed and is flagged for staff review. Unusually long extensions and suspicious patterns are also reviewed; no votes, accusations or automatic bans are invented.
Direct 1 vs 1 challenges are available to FyeBeats Producer accounts. The challenged Producer must accept before beat submission begins.
A Producer can use up to 3 active direct-battle slots at one time. An outgoing pending challenge uses a slot; an incoming challenge begins using a slot once it is accepted. Tournament matchups do not count toward this direct-battle limit.
Submit only music you created or have the right to use. Re-uploading another Producer's beat, submitting stolen work, or falsely claiming ownership is prohibited.
Both Producers submit privately. The opponent's entry stays hidden until voting opens. Once a Battle enters voting, submissions are locked and cannot be changed.
AI-generated beats are not allowed in FyeBeats Beat Battles. Battle entries are intended to represent the competing Producer's own production work.
Confirmed violations can result in the entry being removed, the matchup being reviewed, Battle disqualification, and Battle access being restricted.
Each Battle beat can play for a maximum of 1:00 (60 seconds) per playback. The Battle player stops the entry at the one-minute mark.
Replaying the beat starts it again from the beginning. This playback limit applies to every direct 1 vs 1 and tournament Battle matchup.
Official voting unlocks only after an eligible voter listens to at least 30 seconds of both battle beats. Skipping forward on the player does not count as listening time.
The 30-second listen requirement still applies even though each Battle beat is capped at 1:00 of playback.
Official Battle votes are available to eligible neutral Producer accounts. The two Producers competing in a matchup cannot vote in their own Battle.
Each eligible account gets one official vote per matchup. A voting result requires at least 3 qualified votes in total across both entries, and the scheduled voting window must finish first. Reaching 3 votes early does not end the Battle early.
If the scheduled window ends with fewer than 3 votes, voting stays open until the minimum is reached. Tie resolution follows the existing Sudden Death and staff-review rules.
While a Battle is live, signed-in Producer and Listener accounts may join the Battle Room conversation. Neutral Producer accounts may also rate the matchup from 1 to 5 stars.
The two competing Producers cannot rate their own Battle. The Battle Room stays open while voting continues, including an extension needed to collect at least 3 qualified votes. When the Battle leaves the voting stage, voting, commenting, and rating are locked and the Battle Room becomes read-only.
Do not use bots, duplicate accounts, purchased votes, coordinated fake voting, account sharing, exploits, or any other method intended to manipulate a Battle result.
FyeBeats may remove invalid activity and review a result when there is credible evidence of manipulation or a technical problem.
Tournament registration, round schedules, advancement, and rewards follow the settings published for that tournament. A Producer must meet each round's submission deadline to remain eligible to advance.
A missed submission deadline goes to staff submission review. Unplayed matchups may receive a documented administrative bye or removal after review. They do not create a voted Battle winner or round-win XP.
Tournament XP and Champion rewards are awarded according to the event's published reward settings. When a tournament advertises Producer Spotlight as a prize, the Champion receives that Spotlight after the event is completed.
When voting closes, the Battle is locked for normal voting and the result becomes part of the completed Battle record. Vote totals may remain hidden while voting is live and become visible after the matchup closes or enters staff review.
Every official Battle winner requires at least three valid votes and the full scheduled voting window. Cancelled or voided matchups have no official voted winner. Previously completed historical results are preserved; a later invalidation is flagged for staff review and does not silently reopen the Battle.
FyeBeats may correct a result when a confirmed system error, disqualification, invalid-vote review, or staff resolution requires it.
Grounds for review include AI-generated entries, stolen music, fraudulent voting, abusive behavior, exploiting Battle systems, or intentionally violating a published tournament requirement.
FyeBeats Owner, Admin, Staff, and authorized Battle Admins may review Battle issues within the permissions assigned to their roles. When appropriate, staff may remove invalid votes, disqualify an entry, restrict Battle access, or correct a technical result.
If you believe a Battle contains a rule violation, suspicious voting, or a technical problem, report it to FyeBeats staff with the Battle link and a short explanation of what happened.
Do not attempt to retaliate, manipulate the result, or create additional accounts while a review is pending.
